The preparation method of modified styrene butadiene latex is not complicated, and the preparation time is short, less than 20h. The specific steps are as follows:

First, add deionized water, sodium dodecyl sulfate and fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether into the reactor and stir and emulsify for 30 minutes. Then, add styrene and heat to 40℃, and continue to stir and emulsify for 30 minutes. After that, add ammonium persulfate and sodium bisulfite, heat to 70℃±2℃ and react for 3 hours.

Then, reduce the temperature to 20℃±5℃, add isoprene, butadiene and 2-vinylpyridine, and heat to 40℃±3℃ after 2 hours of reaction. Finally, add the terminator sodium dimethyl dithiocarbamate to stop the reaction, cool to room temperature and discharge, and the product can be obtained.

Modified styrene butadiene latex is widely used and is an important raw material in rubber products. It has good elasticity, wear resistance and heat resistance, and can be used to impregnate cord fabrics and fabrics. In the manufacture of automobile tires and aircraft tires, it can play a bonding role between rubber products, ensure the firm combination of the various parts of the tire structure, and improve the performance and safety of the tire. In the production of hoses and conveyor belts, it can also enhance the bonding force between rubber parts and extend their service life.
