The difference between imported and domestic bitumen in the softening point modification effect is mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1.Specific differences: According to reference information, the softening point of domestic Maoming No. 70 bitumen after modification increased from 47-1-5 ℃ to 74 ℃, an increase of 26-1-5 ℃; while the softening point of imported Shell No. 70 bitumen after modification increased from 49 ℃ to 85 ℃, an increase of 36 ℃. This shows that the modification effect of imported bitumen is significantly better than that of domestic bitumen.
2. Reflected production process and raw material quality issues:
Raw material quality: The crude oil source and production process of imported bitumen may be of higher quality, resulting in more ideal components (such as oil, resin, bitumenene, etc.), thereby improving the softening point after modification. This shows that imported bitumen may be better than domestic bitumen in terms of raw material purity and quality.
Production process: Different production processes will affect the physical and chemical properties of bitumen, and then affect its compatibility with modifiers. The reference information mentioned that bitumen with less bitumenene content and higher soft bitumen content has better compatibility, so the softening point of modified bitumen increases significantly under the same conditions. Imported bitumen may have better controlled the proportion of these components during the production process, thereby improving the modification effect.
In summary, the difference in the softening point modification effect between imported and domestic bitumen reflects the difference in the quality of raw materials and production processes, which directly affect the compatibility of the modifier and bitumen and the final modification effect.
